You’re currently locked on v1.2.0 while Apple reviews our GoWith Gold update (it’s taking ages because subscriptions add extra review steps). Once it’s approved, iOS will jump straight to v1.5.1 with a big bundle of improvements from v1.3.0 → v1.5.1, including:
GoWith Gold + First 100 Club (Gold features, with First 100 getting them free)
Notifications + Announcements (bell + in-app announcements)
Messages overhaul: unread badges, sorted by latest, clearer unread indicators, in-app message toasts, better chat navigation, fewer notification overload issues
Friends + Activities UX: friend rows tappable, better activity icons, “Add friends” flow, “Open Chat” on activity details
Fixes: iOS date/time picker no longer instantly closes, First 100 Club calc fixed, badge mix-ups fixed
v1.5.1: minor paywall tweak to satisfy App Store requirements (only affects non–First 100 users)
Changed the subscription paywall to be suitable for app store (minor change to subscriptions tab thats only visible to those not in the first 100 club)
Fix iOS date/time picker closing immediately when scrolling the spinner. The picker now stays open while selecting.
Improved in-app announcements to include tags and image when provided.
Added unread message count badge on the Messages tab in bottom navigation.
Messages screen now sorted by most recent message, with visual indicators for unread conversations (red dot, bold text, unread count badge).
Added in-app toast notifications for new chat messages with smooth slide-in/out animation. Tapping the toast navigates to the chat.
Chat push notifications are now suppressed when the app is in the foreground (in-app toast shown instead).
Added "Open Chat" button on activity detail screen for members.
Chat back button now consistently navigates to the messages list.
Improved loading states across Messages, Home (Your Activities), and Friends screens - loading spinner only shows on initial load, not on subsequent visits or background refreshes.
Friends screen: replaced confusing search bar with "Add friends" search that opens the add friend modal with keyboard focused.
Chat messages no longer fill the notifications.
Made the entire friend row tappable in the friends list to make it more intuitive.
Better icon mapping based on activity type (Not more red pins everywhere).
Fixed first 100 club calculation which incorrectly included test accounts.
Implemented in-app notification bell.
Implemented in-app announcements so we can push news and major changes to end users in both a discrete and not disruptive way.
Fixed issue with badges being mixed up between gold users and first 100 club members.
Implemented GoWith Gold subscription tier.
First 100 club members get all these benefits for free, both because we didn’t want to “bait and switch” anyone or give that impression. We are also still experimenting with what the Gold Tier value is, so we may even extend to free forever for the first 500 just so we can truly learn from our users.
